A Sustainable Solution
In Ajia parish, Lira District, Uganda, deforestation has led to significant land degradation, resulting in soil erosion, crop failures, and a scarcity of firewood. This environmental crisis has deeply affected the community, threatening their livelihoods and food security. Recognizing the urgent need for action, a group of dedicated youth, led by Awaco Molly, took the initiative to address these challenges head-on. Their efforts have not only helped mitigate the effects of deforestation but have also inspired a movement towards sustainable living and environmental stewardship in the region.
